TurF Community Class: Yoga Sculpt by Kate Alvarado

Every Thursday, we open our studio to amazing people in our community to lead a FREE class for the community.
This week, Kate Alvarado joins us in the studio to lead Yoga Sculpt.
When muscle meets yoga, Yoga Sculpt is born. Boost metabolism and build lean muscle mass as you move to upbeat tracks. You’ll combine free weights with sequencing and cardio to intensify each yoga pose while mixing in strength-training moves like squats, lunges and bicep curls. This class is musically-driven and will have you feeling like you just walked out of a dance party.
Kate Alvarado is a newby to the Vancouver area. Having taught power vinyasa yoga and Yoga Sculpt for the past four years in Los Angeles, she loves to pack her classes with good music, high energy, intentional breathing and an overall sense of fun. Coming from a dance background you can always count on her classes being musically-driven and kicking your traditional views of yoga out the door. Get ready to sweat.

TurF Open Meditation

For the week of July 3rd – July 7th, we are welcoming you to our studio for an open meditation.
We want to give you the opportunity to kick off or enhance your meditation practice this summer with 5 free days of meditation. The 20-minute guided audio session begins at 8:15am, so come early to settle in on a mat and cushion.
Make meditation part of your daily coffee stop or commute to work.

Start your morning with an introduction to our July theme, "Your Energy Matters" and a 90-minute session of The Class by Taryn Toomey led by Angela Hartman. We end the morning with a long table breakfast before returning in the evening for a closing meditation and stretch led by Dr. Genieve Burley.

TurF Pop-up: Strut by Steph Morris

We feature fun, high-energy teachers and class styles from our favorite studios at the TurF Pop-up.
On Friday July 14th, Steph Morris hosts Strut: an intro-level dance fitness class that builds confidence and a sexy style through whole body dance movement. Steph will break down how to move all parts of your body and tone different muscle groups. Strut combines the best of dance conditioning with dance routines. Each class is ideal for beginners, helping to strengthen your dance ability, confidence, and knowledge.

TurF Create Your Goals

Lead the life you want to live with TurF’s own Create Your Goals. TurF Co-founder Delaney Schweitzer and General Manager Ange Hartman will lead the group through a 90-minute course in writing a vision, designing goals, and sticking to them. They will also share personal tips that have helped them achieve their biggest personal, health, and career goals.
TurF Pop-up: Sweat Beats by Jenny Evans

Experience full freedom and release as you move your body to the beat of heart pumping music in Jenny Evans’ Sweat Beats. Jenny will have you sweatin’ and humming to your favorite tunes through a variety of bodyweight fitness and dance-inspired moves. All levels welcome and no dance experience necessary.
